The map: Antique map of Africa with extended coverage to South America and the Caribbean as well as southern Europe. The political geography of 1911 is very from present Africa. A few of the country names of the past - Rhodesia, German S.W. Africa, Rio de Oro, Abyssia, British East Africa - many more can be found on the map, many reflecting the Colonial Era. The map has detailed cities, rivers, island and coastal features. Topographic detail is engraved as hachures to represent mountains. This original print is over 100 years old and was first engraved by The Geographical Publishing Company cartographers.
