| 'Rough Coated St. Bernards,' named Bayard and Barry, from Cassell's Illustrated Book of the Dog, by Vero Shaw, published in 1890. The Illustrated Book of the Dog is one of the best-known, earliest books of canine prints. This print exhibits the fine engraving and rich color for which the series is noted. Moderate water damage in right margin, but only affecting printed area lightly. Slight horizontal ripple in water damage area. Overall, just about good condition. Problems reflected in price. |
