Very decorative Russian Empire antique map from Fullarton's Royal Illustrated Atlas, published in London in 1862. This map, or rather two maps on one sheet, depicts The Aral Sea and Kamtchatka. The maps are surrounded by marvelous vignettes depicting scenes, views, native inhabitants, and so forth. There is some slight chipping to the top edge of the sheet, otherwise it is in fine condition. These sheets were published with the fore-edge vignettes extending to the edge of the sheet. Reference: Phillips, Geographical Atlases, number 838.Geographical Atlases, number 838.
