Remarkably detailed antique pocket map of New York City, extending as far north as 61st Street, published by Matthew Dripps around 1880. The extensive detailing includes such features as house-numbers, hotels, churches, banks, theaters, ferries, horse-cars, steam and elevated railroads, and much more. The map also includes soundings in the waters of New York's East River. Hand-colored by ward. Black covers with embossed title, measuring approximately 5 x 3.2 inches. The map measures 26 x 19 inches. Decorative border. Very good condition.
