The area covered is from Austria to Greece, and countries and regions are individually hand-colored. The map shows cities, towns, railroads, roads, canals, mountains, rivers, coastal features, lakes, battle fields, and so forth. There is a small vignette of the 'Mosque of St. Sophia,' and an inset map of 'Candia,' (Crete). A six-inch, lower centerfold separation has been repaired with archival tape; the repair has not completely closed the gap, but the defect is not too distracting. Otherwise, very good condition.
