| A beautiful example of Gray's Nebraska map, from his Atlas of the United States, with General Maps of the World, published in 1874. A huge Cheyenne county dominates the far western part of the state, while the eastern part is well-mapped. Much of the northwest part of the state is unmapped. The counties are individually hand-colored, and show town and range lines. Also depicted on the map are towns, rivers, railroads, hills, Indian agencies and reservations, and more. Blank on verso. Reference: Phillips, Geographical Atlases, number 4526. |
