| A delightful miniature antique map, beautifully handcolored, from Carey, Lea & Blanchard's Family Cabinet Atlas, published in Philadelphia in 1834. This miniature atlas is known for its superb detail and fine engraving. The map depicts Denmark along with Holstein. When the map was published, Holstein was part of the German Confederation, although the King of Denmark was also the Duke of Holstein. Very good condition. Reference: Phillips, Geographical Atlases, number 767. |
