| A well-detailed, informative, copper-engraved map of Chile and present-day Argentina. Engraved by John Dower of London, and published by Orr and Smith in W. M. Higgins's General Descriptive Atlas of the Earth in 1836. Also depicts part of Uruguay, before it was so-named. Excellent detail, showing cities, towns, rivers, mountains, lakes, coastal features, and so forth. Surface soiling, mostly marginal, condition just about very good. Nice original hand color. Not noted in Phillips. |
