Detailed antique map of Central Asia, including India, China, Japan, and Tibet, from Charles Smith's General Atlas, published in London in 1816. The copper-engraved map is dated January 6, 1816, just below the borderline. The map depicts major cities, mountains, lakes, rivers, coastal features, desert, and so forth, in excellent detail. In very good condition. Reference: Phillips, Geographical Atlases, number 729.
