| A hand colored, copper-engraved botanical print from Samuel Curtis's Botanical Magazine, published in October, 1822. Curtis's magazine began publication in 1787, and continued until it was purchased by The Kew Magazine in 1984. This plate, an attractive broadleaf plant with delicate, purple tipped flowers, fully handcolored, is plate N.2350. Trimmed right to the edge of the image at left side, but just ample for matting; several folds as issued, overall condition very good. Offered with accompanying text leaf from the magazine, also in very good condition. |
