| A nicely-detailed, copper-engraved antique
map of Brazil, engraved by John Dower of London, and published by Orr
and Smith in W. M. Higgins's General Descriptive Atlas of the Earth
in 1836. Good detail, showing cities, towns, rivers, mountains, lakes,
coastal features, and so forth. The states are individually
hand-colored. Surface soiling, mostly marginal, but also intruding into lower left area. Condition is about good. Not noted in Phillips. |
