| Nice early antique map of Arkansas, dated 1850 but published in 1851, in Thomas, Cowperthwait's edition of Mitchell's New Universal Atlas. As the title indicates, the map displays a table showing the Mississippi steamboat routes for the region, along with individually-colored counties, cities, towns and villages, railroads, lakes, rivers, canals, swamps, mountains, and so on. Increasingly scarce. Very good condition. Reference: Phillips, Geographical Atlases, number 805. |
