We sell original, authentic antique maps and antique prints -- no reproductions. Established in 1997, we carry a wide range of historic maps and prints. Our antique maps come from all regions of the world, ranging in date of origin from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries. Our antique prints include Currier and Ives, small Audubon prints, botanical prints, butterfly prints, bird prints, and an assortment of flora, fauna, and decorative prints. We also carry several map and print collecting reference books. Not all of our old maps and historic prints are yet on our website, so feel free to inquire if you do not see the antique map or antique print that you are looking for.
Featured Antique Maps: Examples from around New England
As one of the earliest settled areas of the United States, the New England region has a rich and varied cartographic history. Our featured antique maps include "A Map of the Colonies of Connecticut and Rhode Island..." by Thomas Kitchin, published in 1758, and the first printed map showing the whole state of Connecticut. Also featured is a classic, mid-19th century antique map of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, published in 1856 by the famous firm of J.H. Colton, with decorative scroll border and full mapping of Cape Cod. Finally, we feature a beautifully hand-colored map of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, published in 1832 by Hinton, Simpkin and Marshall, in "An Atlas of the United States of North America."
Since 1997, a trusted source for authentic old maps and old prints.
